Thunder Softball Rallies to Defeat Hawks 5-4

The Westerview Thunder softball team staged a thrilling comeback to defeat the Hawks 5-4 in front of an energized home crowd. Trailing 4-2 in the seventh inning, catcher Emily Harris ignited the rally with a clutch two-run double to tie the game. Moments later, third baseman Rachel Carter lined a single to left field, scoring Harris for the walk-off victory. Pitcher Madison Blake kept the Thunder in the game with a gritty performance, striking out nine and escaping several jams. The win improves Westerview’s record to 8-2 and puts them in prime position for a postseason run.
